Dear Gikas painting
Our experience with Gikas painting was just fantastic. They had a vision
for our home that far exceeded our expectations and they completed that
vision within our budget. The front of our home was covered with
aluminum siding for 30 years which was a look we were in a hurry to
change. Gikas Painting removed the siding and restored the home to it's
original look and detail with a lot of new updates as well as painting
it with some great colors. We discussed the job with four different
companies and Gikas Painting was the only one that suggested taking down
the aluminum siding and restoring what was underneath. They worked with
us hand in glove throughout the entire process and kept us in the loop
on every detail. There were many other suggestions they made that we
agreed on and were extremely glad we did.
They possess a very effective
combination of painting knowledge and carpentry skill that make for a
beautiful job. When Gikas Painting finished our home we were just amazed
at the transformation and would catch ourselves just staring at it. Here
it is one year later and sometimes we still just stare at it with the
same great feeling.

Dear Mr. Gikas,
To say our house has been transformed is an
understatement. Our "armadillo" neutral
beige house is now a gorgeous old Victorian with the elegance and
richness of it's
original design. We hired George because he was the only contractor to
look at our house and point out what used to be there by noticing the
tiny details even we hadn't noticed. He is a true expert in his field of
carpentry and the style of the homes in this town. Gikas is an artist
that treats painting your home as a process in creating a work of art.
You don't just pick a color and let them paint. Gikas has an
understanding for personal tastes and that light effects how colors work
together, so he can change the colors as they go. Many people who know
our house stop to compliment the major improvement.

We just looked at your
website today and think it is great and
shows off the wonderful work you do. Looking at the before and after
photos of our house brought back how dreary it looked before you came
in. You made such creative suggestions for colors, did
a terrific job of preparation and renewal of the shingles that were in
disrepair, and opened up and restored our front porch so that now we
have the pleasure of sitting outside. Your team was unfailingly pleasant
and professional and responsive to all of our concerns. The painting and
the carpentry that you did were of the highest quality and we would

Dear George and Mr. Gikas,
The most important
thing to know about George and Gikas is that they are gentlemen: honest,
hard-working, talented, neat, patient, and fair. Each has his unique
gifts, George as a master carpenter, Gikas as a color-genius. Together
they are an excellent team. No matter what we asked them to do or change
on our house along the way, they did it beautifully. They took our
ideas and made them a reality.
It’s impossible to overstate
how satisfied we are with their work, and how enjoyable the process was
for us. They painted, put on a new roof, re-built our front porch
stairs, renovated our backyard porch, added gorgeous flower boxes, and
fixed up the shingles and woodwork as needed. We have ten colors
on our house: the men stood outside with me on a daily basis, helping
choose and refine the palette. They were always patient and respectful
of my vision for a lighthearted cottage-style home, enhancing and
perfecting it along the way. I could not recommend them more highly.

Several years ago when we decided to paint our 1893 house we met Gikas
and George who considered it a personal challenge to make the house
sparkle with personality. Gikas convinced us to remove ugly asphalt
shingles to reveal the beauty of our Victorian house. They knelt at the
curb and silently contemplated the house, listening for the house’s
character to be revealed. Then, after much thought, imagination and
collaboration a Victorian Painted Lady was born. The splendor of the
many harmonizing colors is a joy to behold each day. The crew who
removed the shingles, sanded, repaired, primed and painted the house
were very professional. They took the utmost care in all aspects of the
work. Attention to detail is second nature to the team. We have been
delighted with the house since its rejuvenation and continue to receive
many compliments.
